This is such a powerful image to me, amazing shot of an amazing physique. Gilbert tells me it was the stylist who came up with the original concept.
'When I photograph men I always think of athletes and how they are photographed. The stylist wanted more of a sexual theme but it's not what we had in mind when we first spoke, so we compromised.'
