I love blogger stats! It is always fascinating to see what is grabbing attention. Although #'s 3-10 were model and photographer profiles, the #2 clicked on post for November was The Property Brothers and the #1 was my piece on Jessica Lange. I am sure it has to do with where certain posts are linked but having Jessica's post the top viewed post somehow surprised me!

Speaking of Lange, isn't her tv son really knocking it out of the park on American Horror Story. Evan Peters has been both terrifying and heartbreaking as Tate. His reveal as the Rubber Man was a surprise to me! There are so many incredible characters on AHS but Tate is one of the most intriguing.

Dressed in Snow

I can't really imagine living anywhere that did not have four seasons. I know that when you have both bitter cold and scorching heat within a 5 or 6 month period that complaining about the weather becomes habitual. There is an energy to each season that I both look forward to arriving and can't wait for to leave.

Winter officially begins for most of us on the 21st but for me, it hit big and hit hard last week. Snow is really the best clothing a planet can wear. It makes crappy houses look warm, uncared for lawns and gardens look as incredible as those that have had every weed plucked and every chemical to green applied on them. It covers lost keys, dog shit and every other flaw of the land. It creates almost a more level playing field for the rich and the poor, the fat and the skinny that summer cannot.

Now I have had my hell moments in the snow as well. Driving in a blizzard can be frightening but most who have problems with the snow do so because they try to ignore it, pretend it does not stop everything and plow through like it is still spring. The trick to snow is to understand it's power and when it comes, drop everything your doing, stay where you are and let it have it's way with you until it's done.

Just Because: Ben Wright

I have been wanting to do a feature on actor Ben Wright ever since I started FH. In the early 90's I listened to the Into The Woods soundtrack constantly and loved that I got to see the show via the PBS television version. I kept putting off posting about Ben hoping that I might track down some great image or he might appear in a new movie, tv show or stage production. Sadly I think Wright has left the business. His last Broadway credit is the 1996 production of State Fair and with the exception of playing 'Angry Man' in a 2008 short, Wrights last film credit was the 1994 Penny Marshall flick Renaissance Man.



I love Wrights vocals and Jack's few songs are some of my favorites. Into The Woods is a show in which the soundtrack is almost better than the actual show. The lyrics to many of the songs have so much meaning and say so much they cannot possibly be captured with just one listen. If anyone knows what Ben is up to please shoot me a line. If you have not listened to ITW you should, the entire cast is superb and Bernadette Peters' Children Will Listen is magnificent.

Just Because: The Ratner Debacle

Much has been made the past 48 hours of leaving/firing of Brett Ratner from this Oscars. Many are crying Hollywood hypocrisy comparing a perceived acceptance of Roman Polanski's actions vs the condemnation of Ratner's words. I don't quite get the comparison between someone who raped at 13 year old and someone who made a homophobic comment??? No one is suggesting Ratner be jailed or executed, the two stories, the two actions should not be compared.

But...

I was saddened by the amount of people who wrote off his comment because the 'know him' or are his 'friend'. Just when you begin to think things are starting to change people who should know better are defending his actions. Now let me clear, I am glad he is not producing the Oscars but not because of his comments. I personally think he should not have left/been pushed out. His words obviously were out of line and should have been slammed, but then it is time to move on.

I am glad he is not producing the show because I am simply not really impressed with much of his work as a producer and director. I also am a huge fan of Eddie Murphy's talent (love watching his old SNL work), but not a fan of the man himself. I find the actor smug and just a little bit odd and even a little scary. I am glad Billy Crystal is back on board and I know he will have more than a few jokes about the whole thing.

It is a bit ironic though that Ratner's replacement is Brian Grazer. I am a fan of much of Grazer's work, but earlier this year you may remember he had gay groups up in arms himself with a gay joke from 'The Dilemma', which despite the outcry, Grazer left in the movie.

Just Because: Brandon Beemer in Dirty Soap

I don't think I have ever watched an episode of The Bold Of The Beautiful but...that does not mean I don't know how freakishly hot Brandon Beemer is. I have also not seen a minute of Dirty Soap but if Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelo's continue to find reasons to shoot Beemer in his tighty whities I might have to give it a try.

Just Because: Jean Monribot

Every year when the new calendar and video for Dieux Du Stade come out there are groans about how they are not as good as they used to be. These groans can usually attributed to 'less penis'. Yet, some of the first video's showed very little, it was the element of tease combined with the professional athlete that made them so appealing.



Earlier this month I spotlighted SU Agen flanker Jean Monribot. Monribot really has the face and body of a Greek God. Each year his birthday roles around I am struck with how beautiful he is. All he needs is a crown of leaves. these videos (from 2007) show very little but are some of my favorites.

Just Because: Jonathan Taylor Thomas

I was never a huge fan of ABC's Home Improvement. I was still in school during its run in the 90's and wasn't watching that much television. I did however watch enough to develop a crush on Jonathan Taylor Thomas. Thomas stood out from the other boys in the cast. Taran Noah Smith and Zachery Ty Bryan were both cute and talented but there was a quality about Thomas that was distinct and special.



As I have gotten older, when I see an old episode on television, it is now the talent of Patricia Richardson I enjoy. Richardson really made the most of her role and although I don't dislike Tim Allen, I don't find anything especially watchable about him either, it is Richardson who holds my interest.



How great does Thomas (and the whole cast really) look in the new shots from Entertainment Weekly's new Reunion issue. Thomas, who just turned 30 had not been together with his co-stars since the show went off the air. Thomas is sporting the hairstyle I sported through most of my early 20's and just as when on the show, stands out in the group and the photos (especially the last one). What a great transition, time to get back to acting Jonathan!

Thanks to In Touch Magazine (a magazine whose existence I continue to question, as there is not really much in it to actually read. It must cater to those too lazy to be bothered with words, as it is simply a collection of purdy pictures, usually ones already seen in other magazines) and Boy Culture (for the purdy pictures here) for these shots of Hugh Jackman on Bondi Beach in Australia. I say nothing except I too need a speedo wearing personal trainer to frolic in the surf with!

Just Because: Rain

Like many kids Rain once meant jumping in puddles, using toy shoves to manipulate mud and the curiosity about why all the worms were on the sidewalk when the rain ended. Playing in the rain, spinning, getting soaked was just fun. Rain rarely ruined plans, you did whatever anyway, it was actually sort of magical.

Today, as the rain poured down for the 5th day in a row and I hydroplaned numerous times on the highway home, narrowly missing a guard rail at one point, I thought 'Fuck Rain!' Kind of like finding out there wasn't a Santa Clause...the magic...is gone.

Just Because: Commercials

With the invention of the DVR television commercials are basically a thing of the past for me. I love being able to fly through an hour long show in 18 minutes (sometimes less...). I do have fond memories of commercials as a child however, sometimes more the shows themselves, certain commercials remind me of certain times of our lives. There are two commercials currently running that both have made an impact on me, and I am sure of few of you.

Dairy Queen

Actor, writer and trapezer (yes trapezer) John Behlmann is so damned adorable and engaging I get a hard on every time I drive by a Dairy Queen. I am not even an ice cream guy but thoughts of blizzards and dipped cones have all now weaved together with thoughts of John. This talented actor has a long resume of television and stage work and the as the Dairy Queen guy, I could watch his commercials over and over! Join John on Facebook HERE:

Weight Watchers
Every time the Jennifer Hudson weight watchers commercial comes on I, the most non violent person on the planet, want to find a gun and pull an Elvis on the television screen. I like Hudson, her talent is beyond, but this commercial seems to be on a loop playing to the point even the most dedicated of weight watchers members must be grabbing for the ruffles.

Just Because: Allan Hyde

Transformation is central to each of the characters on True Blood. Going from being alive to being a member of the undead, turning into a animal then back to human form is par for the course. Sadly, actor Allan Hyde transformed himself right off the series when his character Godric left to meet the sun on his own terms.



Hyde has gone through his own transformation, working non stop last year, six days a week, building his muscle mass. Although hot then, Allan is looking pretty incredible these days.

Winner for best treasure trail goes to...

Alan's talent, not to mention his new body is on display in the new web series Alla Salute! Alla Salute features best friends Claudio ( Aleksandar Antonijevic) and Patrik (Hyde). Check out the entire series on YOUTUBE HERE:
