'Shiney Kumquat Productions was founded in the summer of 2003. Oscar Quintero had an idea of combining his too greatest loves, “Beauty Pageants” and CHARLIE’S ANGELS. Kurt Koehler wanted to direct a new show. Together they wrote their first stage show. PRETTY CHICAS ALL IN A ROW was produced to raise money to shoot their short film TACO CHICK AND SALSA GIRL. They made the short and continued to grow with CHICO’S ANGELS.
What was supposed to be just a three week run of a little comedy in the basement of a Mexican Restaurant has turned into years of collaboration, four stage shows, a website, three webisodes, five half-hour sitcom scripts and a full length feature ready for pre-production. Danny Casillas came on board as a producer once we decided to try out a web-series for a bigger reach with the Angels.'
Chico's Angels are hitting the Los Angeles stage this fall again with their stage show, Chico's Angels: Chicas in Chains on Sept 30th. Chico's Angels proudly announce their new show hottie actor, Sean Kushner.
